Heather Gavin, DVM

Dr. Gavin was raised in Utah and Southern Idaho, returning to Utah after Vet school to be closer to family.  She attended Utah State University, majoring in Biovet Science with a Biotech emphasis in 2006, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University in Pullman, WA in 2010.  She focuses on canine reproductive medicine and neonatal care.  Career goals include continuing to grow in canine reproduction and introducing concepts of feline reproduction as well.  Dr. Gavin has been interested in breeding for years and started breeding guinea pigs as a teenager.  

Dr. Gavin has been married for several years to her husband, Gavin (and yes, she says he goes by his last name).  They have seven children and twelve grandchildren, an Australian Shepherd - Danu, and a charcoal Bengal Cat - Nix.  She loves spending time with family, reading, crafts, sewing, the outdoors (swimming, hiking, rock climbing, camping, fishing), and sci-fi/fantasy.
